Privacy policy

AI Global Wire ("we", "the service") is an AI news aggregator operated from the European Union. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have. The controller can be reached at contact@aiglobalwire.com.

What we collect

• Account data — email address, display name and the sign-in provider you used (Google). Provided by you when you create an account.
• Preferences — interface and article language, saved filters and views, topic subscriptions, saved articles.
• Billing data — none. The service is free and we do not collect payment details. Card details would be handled by a payment provider and never reach our servers.
• Technical data — sign-in timestamps and basic request data needed to operate and secure the service.
• Analytics — aggregate usage statistics, only where you have consented (or have not opted out, where local law allows).

Why we process it (legal bases)

• Contract — providing your free account and its features.
• Consent — analytics cookies and the weekly email digest.
• Legitimate interests — security, abuse prevention and service improvement.
• Legal obligation — records we are required by law to keep.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of processors to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, hosting), Google (sign-in, and the translation model used for headlines and summaries), and Cloudflare (delivery and security). Some processors are located outside the EEA; transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Retention

Account and preference data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires (normally seven years). Aggregate analytics is retained for up to 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or object to processing; you can withdraw consent at any time. California and similar US-state residents may opt out of sharing for targeted advertising — we do not do this, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals automatically. Write to contact@aiglobalwire.com and we will answer within one month. You can also delete your account and data yourself from your account settings. If you believe we mishandled your data you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post material changes to this page and, where required, notify you by email.
